In my experience, the less complicated that New Year’s Resolutions are, the easier it is to accomplish them. So! mine for 2017 are few, straightforward and full of goodness. They are: spend more quality time with my children and husband, eat more thoughtfully (NO MORE SKIPPING BREAKFAST), and improve my blog. To accomplish those 3 resolutions, I must be smarter and faster when doing the daily chores, so I have more time available; I’ll have to research and learn new things, and then implement them. The smoothie bowl recipe that I will present to you here is part of the breakfast hacks that will help me (and you!) star the day with a healthy morning routine that will allow me to save time at the very beginning of the day so I can prepare for quality time, research and learning and all while enjoying #spoonfulsofgoodness thanks to Post® Honey Bunches of Oats®.
This is how I prepared the Smoothie Bowl:
Ingredients (for 1 bowl):
- Post® Honey Bunches of Oats® cereal, of your preferred variety. Here I used both the Strawberries and Almonds versions. But really, all of them can provide #spoonfulsofgoodness
- 1 cup of milk
- 1 banana
- Shelled walnuts as desired. I used about ½ a cup
- Golden raisins as desired. Again, this time I used about ½ a cup
- Greek yogurt as desired. I used about ¾ of a cup.
Proceed to pour the milk in a blender. Then add the banana, cut in pieces. Add 2 cups of strawberry Post® Honey Bunches of Oats® cereal; and blend until you get the desired “thickness”. You may add a bit more milk if you want it to be lighter. When ready, pour the mix in a bowl, and finish the preparation by decorating. I did it by making two lines in the surface of the mix: one with almond Post® Honey Bunches of Oats® cereal; then another with golden raisins, and finally, I put some yogurt besides the lines and then sprinkled the nuts over it! Yuuuummy! Several #spoonfulsofgoodness
